Letter from the Principal

Visitation Academy is a strong and energetic community, linked to the rich history of the Sisters of the Visitation; it is a place where students are able to grow, thrive, and be intellectually challenged. We offer a dynamic education which nurtures students academically and spiritually.

All of us at Visitation Academy are working hard to meet the new needs prompted by current conditions in the world around us. Our goal is to continue our supportive and safe learning community in our small school setting.

We are open for the 2020 – 2021 school year, and planning for the 2021 – 2022 school year.

Our focus for this 2020-21 school year is our to return to campus. We are very mindful that the schedule needs to be flexible and allows for smooth transitions between classroom learning and remote learning should there be any future spikes of COVID-19 or other viruses which could put the health and safety of students and staff at risk. To that end, we have plans in place for students to return to the school building and participate in classes on campus, while having a seamless transition to remote learning if needed.

Our class sizes are small and the classrooms are large enough to accommodate for social distancing in the classrooms; we have the flexibility to arrange lunch and outside play to meet the requirements set by NYS.

We have made necessary changes in classroom layouts to accommodate social distancing. Teachers are vigilant about student health and hygiene.

Visitation offers academically enriching experiences to enable our students to develop higher order thinking skills. Salesian values are emphasized so that each girl knows she is an integral part of our school community and valued for her own unique gifts and talents. We want our students to become life-long learners who are confident in their abilities. Our graduates are prepared for the rigors of high school and are young women who stand ready to make an impact upon the world.

We want you to know we are here to address any questions or concerns you may have. Please contact us at:
