Visitation Academy is a strong and energetic community, linked to the rich history of the Sisters of the Visitation; it is a place where students are able to grow, thrive, and be intellectually challenged. We offer a dynamic education which nurtures students academically and spiritually.
All of us at Visitation Academy are working hard to meet the new needs prompted by current conditions in the world around us. Our goal is to continue our supportive and safe learning community in our small school setting
We are waiting for information from the New York State Education Department regarding health and safety guidance from the Governor’s office and the New York State Department of Health (DOH) concerning schools for the 2021-2022 school year.
The Governor’s staff has informed the Department of Education that guidance from DOH is in development and the latest guidelines from the Centers for Disease Control will serve as its basis.
This information about health-related preparations for the 2021-2022 school year will include: masking requirements, physical distancing, transportation, COVID19 testing requirements, COVID-19 screenings, community transmission rates, and local health department responsibilities.
As soon as we receive the guidelines, we will share the information with our families.
Since no new policies have yet been set, all our health and safety protocols from the past year are still in place for the opening of school in September: masks, physical distancing, hand hygiene, ventilation – including air filters and open windows and doors, daily health screening, frequent disinfecting and sanitizing the school building. We have also updated our reopening plan to include airborne infectious diseases and we will follow all strict health and safety protocols for students and staff.
We hope you are enjoying time together this summer. We look forward to seeing the students in September.
We will update you with any new guidance regarding health and safety protocols once it becomes available.
We want you to know we are here to address any questions or concerns you may have. Please contact us at: firstname.lastname@example.org.
